When should I use this method?
You should follow this procedure when.
- You cannot log into the mobile app.
- You cannot log into the chat.m8chat.au website.
- You know the m8chat.au website login details. This means you can login to this website.
Select Log In
From the main menu select the Log In option. It does not matter if you do not know your password or username.
All what we going to do is reset your password and have it emailed to you.

Select "Manage your Membership"
This option opens up a page where you can manage all your membership details, including reset password.
Click Change Password
Select the link "Change Password", this will prompt you to enter your password.
There are other options on this screen like
- Edit Profile, this is where you can change your name etc.
- Log Out, that will log you out o fthe site.
- My Memberships

Enter your Passwords
As you can see on this screen you need to do the following.
- Enter your current password, if you do not know it you need to follow Reset Password steps.
- Enter a new password
- Re enter the new password
- Click Change Password.
What happens next?
A few things will happen.
- We check if your current password is correct.
- We then check if the new passwords are the same.
- When all that checks out, we will set your new password.
- Update the home server (matrix.m8chat.au) with the new passwords.
Give it a minute or two, and you should be able to log in to the application or websites using your new password.
