M8Chat.au is a right Aussie-made messaging app, cobbled together by two mates, Doc and Craig. They reckon it’s time we had a platform that keeps our chats private and secure without all that data mining rubbish those big companies get up to.

We charge $50 per year to use m8chat.au. And we offer discounts for families who want to sign up together.

  1. Log in to your account: Head over to the M8Chat.au website and sign in using your credentials.
  2. Find Account Settings: Look for a section labelled “Account,” “Settings,” or something similar. 
  3. Locate Membership Options: Within Account Settings, you should see options related to your membership. Look for something like “Manage Membership” or “Subscription.”
  4. Cancel Subscription: Click on the relevant option and follow the prompts to cancel your subscription. You might need to confirm your decision.

Important Reminders:

  • Check for a confirmation email: After cancelling, you should receive an email confirming your request.
  • Review any refund policies: Understand M8Chat’s policy regarding refunds for cancelled memberships.

At this stage we only accept online payments, these payments are processed by Stripe, we are not saving or storing any credit card details or other payment information. 

Problems can always occur, so we have a help desk where you can submit questions or get help signing up. 

We try our best to answer you questions within 24hrs, just remember we are a small team. 

Yes, we do offer support; one way is via our helpdesk. If you are a member and have questions, you can find us online on m8chat.au support channels. These are for all M8Chat member,s and the M8Chat community is there to help you out. 

The downloadable app is managed and built by the great team of Element, who manage all the updates and distribution. We have chosen this model to ensure contingency and quality. We fully trust the team at Element and,for that reason, advocate their applications and solutions. 

We are located in Queensland, Australia, so keep that in mind with timezones when contacting us. 

Our servers are in Brisbane, and in Sydney, they are a mixture of privately owned hardware and leased location space.
